"Look, there is craft and there is Kraft"

some sculpture revisions as of late: the before, step one, step two, and where it sits at the moment. (stay tuned for the what will become of the other half of the original sculpture..) 

ps. this post's title comes from a PORT (a portland based art blog i follow) post, from earlier in the month. It was written in the context of a discussion of a pacific northwest art award's tendency toward craft based recipients rather than the artists and artwork that the blog art writers would favor for the award's recognition, the difference between craft and kraft being something like a difference between the "outward fetish of work....and work that builds understanding."
