and then and then

i've had several studio meetings over the past month and tons of feedback to process about my work and the directions it could go from here. now just as i thought i was finally coming out of uncertainty, i'm heading right back into it. i did find some comfort in watching a video of philip guston in class this week, as he mentioned the uncertainty involved in artistic process, almost as a prerequisite to making interesting work. joe and i have talked about this a lot lately. i guess its when we can't verbally describe what we are doing that its really working as its own thing, independent of other forms of expressed language.

so heres to not knowing...
