taking inspiration from nylon history and some of my new fiber skills, this is one project i've been working on this over the past month. though the specificity of my inspiration may not be obvious, i think it gives this work with a depth that i haven't had before. i think the stitching really does serve the work, giving it a frankenstein quality and the embedded dyed silk and nylon look like they could be organs of my strange thin skinned creature.
